Top 10 Twitter Tips for Engagement - Tip #7 Don’t use Twitter to vent or complain all the time

For some people Twitter provides a public forum to vent their frustrations and complaints about all areas of work and life! Using Twitter for this function too frequently will only serve to turn off your followers.

If you have a common cause for complaint that your audience can relate to and perhaps empathise with, it can provide useful discussion on occasions, particularly if it relates to a certain topic or industry. However it’s important to remember what you’re on Twitter for. What’s your purpose for using the network and what will you possibly gain from complaining too often?

The important thing to remember is not to be too negative when tweeting. Be yourself and express your views, but remember that people will not want to read negativity too often.
